The monastery grounds are stunning, offering a unique vibe and great surroundings. However, the guesthouse room was a huge letdown, far from what the photos on Booking showed: the decor was very basic, the single beds uncomfortable, the room was noisy, and instead of a promised garden view we only saw a tree and a wall in the courtyard. The breakfast was also disappointing. What was most irritating was that we had to leave our table after already sitting down and getting coffee and food, with no prior notice that certain areas were reserved for groups. Check‑out was at 9 am. For €260 for two nights, the value for money was unacceptable for us, especially since this stay was meant to be a surprise birthday for my husband.

“Stivolle Unterkunft im Kloster”

The setting is very pleasant, the breakfast is good, and there is also an optional dinner with a cold buffet and a few hot dishes. It’s very quiet once the daytime tourists leave. The room, however, felt rather plain and sparse, and I thought the price was a bit high for what was offered.

The grounds were very beautiful, the balcony room in a side building was quiet, you could buy drinks at reasonable prices there, a night‑locked bike rack with charging options was available, the breakfast was varied, and the staff were very friendly – highly recommended!
