Leopard Reach Yala by Seven Angels

We stayed at Leopard Reach and it was fantastic—Fonseka and his crew delivered top‑class service, the food tasted great, the facilities were solid, and the spot’s location with surrounding wildlife was a big plus. 100 % would recommend.

Leopard Reach proved to be an outstanding experience; the staff were warm, attentive and always ensured we felt comfortable, the facilities were impressive, the rooms spacious, the meals tasty, and Fonseca, the manager, went out of his way to pamper us, making our stay unforgettable. We booked a morning safari two days straight, once through the hotel and once via our driver, because a half‑day tour isn’t enough if you want to see leopards. The only downsides were the insect swarm typical of a forest setting, a colony of large ants on the pool wall, and a python that wandered near the restaurant—my husband and everyone else were thrilled, but I was a little frightened. Still, it was a once‑in‑a‑lifetime adventure.

We loved every moment at Leopard Reach. The camp sits in a serene forest with wildlife everywhere, and Fonseca, the manager, was friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Our treetop villa offered stunning views of the national park, private meals were a treat, and a pool at the villa’s base was a bonus. We also enjoyed a full‑day safari and were lucky to spot several leopards, a true highlight. A fantastic spot in Yala that we’d strongly recommend.

“Un séjour magique !”

At the last minute we stopped by Yala hoping to see leopards after two failed attempts; Manager Fonseka organized an exceptional safari where we saw a magnificent leopard, and his team was very attentive as we were honeymooners, making the stay absolutely magical; dinner was beautifully set, the BBQ was generous and excellent, with a platter of 2 pork ribs, 2 sausages, 2 chicken legs, 2 shrimp skewers, 2 small crabs, 2 fish fillets, some veggies in BBQ sauce, fried rice, and a soup starter, and we couldn’t finish it; the tent was sublime and very comfortable, we slept well; the private pool in front of the tent was a real plus, the staff apologized for a bit of dirt/sand in the pool, which is inevitable in the jungle with constant breeze; we discovered that Sri Lankan teams always aim for perfect service and are extremely kind, so thanks again to the staff, we’re very happy we changed plans at the last minute to find this gem, especially to Fonseka for the meticulous organization, we were carried for 24 h and it was magical, giving a perfect 10.0/10.
