The hotel’s location is in a pretty good area. The rooms were old, not clean, smelled damp inside, had no phone, and the original charger couldn’t be used because of electrical issues. Breakfast was weak and the service wasn’t tidy.

Very good location close to Porto’s center, in a lively neighborhood with many restaurants.

Perfect spot to explore Porto and Gaia, walking to the old town, bridges, etc. We took the train to São Bento and walked to the hotel. It’s a simple, clean place. The staff speak English, are very nice, and gladly give travel and restaurant recommendations. For short city trips it’s a good place to sleep, but for longer stays the rooms are too small and quite noisy.
