The meals were fine except for breakfast, which was lacking a proper dining area; the location was good, but the small, unwelcoming lounge and the staff’s lukewarm welcome left something to be desired.

The silence was perfect, surrounded by nothing, and we could dine at the inn without having to drive back in the evening. I chose the entrée buffet, which suited my taste, but the evening dishes felt a bit heavy—gratin dauphinois, creamy chicken supreme, quenelles, etc.

The hotel was lovely, the room spacious, the bed comfy for a great night’s sleep, staff friendly, and the chef gave me a jar of his jam that was delicious. Food and wine were excellent, portions generous, and you could pick dessert upstairs, where I chose the raspberry tart—amazing! The outdoor seating for dinner offered beautiful views. I would definitely recommend it.
