The manager Toby was welcoming and friendly, the room was spacious with a loft that our little boy enjoyed, and the hotel was just a short walk from the ski rental shop and slopes, plus it was easy to stroll into the village.

We arrived very late and were worried about checking in, but the host let us self‑check‑in and even waited for us. After we got there, they helped carry our luggage to the third floor, sent someone to drive us to the parking, and brought us back—truly touching. From the room window we could see the Center House at the Yōzawa Onsen ski area, only a 2‑3 minute walk away. The room was a bit small but fully equipped with a fridge, microwave, coffee machine, and a tiny kitchen. The main floor lounge was larger, but we spent most days outside and only wanted to rest in our room, which was a bit of a pity. The host offered to book restaurants for us if needed, which was very kind. If I return to Yōzawa Onsen, I’ll definitely book again.

The property was clean, well‑equipped, and perfectly located at the gondola base. Felix and the entire Schanze Nozawa team were super helpful, providing fresh linen and breakfast top‑ups on request. They also went above and beyond to help us book restaurants and transfers even before we left Australia. 10/10 for accommodation and service; we will definitely come back!

We stayed in the junior suite at Schanze Nozawa for four nights and it was excellent. The location is about 200 m from the gondola to the ski slopes. The staff were amazing and very accommodating. The room and adjacent private bathroom were perfect and very clean. We ran out of some breakfast items, and they were replenished straight away on request. I would recommend it to anyone and will definitely return! Leaving was a bit of a disappointment.

The location was perfect, just a little ahead of the Chōsō gondola station. The young staff were friendly and helpful, and the hot‑spring village main street was only a 10‑minute walk away.
