We were greeted at Mukut jetty and our bags were taken to the bungalow. The room was clean, had air‑con, a fan, several 3‑pin plugs, a nice verandah and a bathroom, and we felt very comfortable. However, noisy neighbours can ruin the experience, and you must walk over rickety bridges to reach your bungalow. The shower only provided cold water.

The room was simple and clean enough, but what really stood out was the super friendly service and the village atmosphere. We were picked up by boat, our luggage delivered to the room, and the lovely man checked in on us a couple of times. Dining at the local restaurant felt authentic, as if we were eating only with locals and families, and the view was breathtaking. Highly recommend for a truly local experience on Tioman.

The location and view are good, but there are other options that are much cheaper.

The location is right in the middle of the village, the best you can hope for. The view is beautiful and will make you want to stay longer.
