Room 1 very spacious and comfortable but other guests complained about much smaller rooms for the same price. Some small details eg. stair carpet / runner quite worn, no real ale although promised each day, bathroom waste bin not always emptied

The location and staff were good, but the room we booked was advertised as a 50 m² King with a fireplace, seating area, and wardrobe. In reality it was a single at best, about 20 m², with no fireplace or wardrobe and a tired low chair. Very disappointing.

Everything was fantastic—the atmosphere, the brilliant staff, the amazing food, and the spotless, perfect room. Nothing to complain about.

A lovely boutique independent hotel. A 10‑minute walk takes you to High Force waterfall, and the stay includes access to the path and Rabi Castle. The staff were very friendly and attentive.
