“The hotel suited me for a two night stay but I would avoid it when there are wedding receptions as it limits use of bar”
The spot is great and the staff are friendly, and the food quality is solid. The room I got was at the back of the building, accessed through the gym and squash courts and a wooden staircase that felt like an assault course. On Friday evening a wedding reception took over the bar and reception area, making it unusable for guests. A squash group of about 20 people also crowded the access area to the rear bedrooms. The bed was rather uncomfortable with a hard mattress, and there was no air conditioning, only a fan. The breakfast menu advertised a full English for £6.50, but residents were charged £15 on the basis of “all you can eat”.
