“Kompakt und sauber”
The staff were friendly and the room was functional and clean; it was a rare find to have a washcloth, but the space is cramped and the décor is plain.
“Good”
There’s no breakfast offered, but the location is decent.
The staff were very efficient, parking is free, and the room was clean and comfortable, but the bathroom is tiny and the room isn’t well insulated from noise.
The location near the park was very nice, the owners were super helpful, the street is quiet and the room is spacious, but there aren’t many places to dine nearby—only a lot of take‑away and a coffee/lunch spot in the park across from the hotel.
“Nightmare in Plymouth”
The owner stayed in touch about our second day and the check‑in times, but the hotel really needs a makeover—it looks like it hasn’t had paint in a decade, the ski boards were dusty, the stairs were the same, the headboard had so much dust I could write my name on it, the bottom of the shower tray outside was dirty again, my wife slept on top of the bed covers in her clothes, so I booked us into the Premier Inn for the second night and didn’t return; they even had a time limit for checking in. It’s the worst hotel I’ve stayed in during my 70 years on this planet, and judging by the reviews people’s standards have dropped.
