I'm not sure what I was expecting, but waking up to the sound of a elephant trumpeting in the distance was definitely a unique experience. The natural surroundings were stunning, and it was lovely to have the place almost to ourselves. I mean, there's literally nothing to complain about.

“Wir würden es nicht empfehlen”

The staff were super friendly and the location right by the river was absolutely stunning. However, the elephant experience was a major letdown - the poor animals would come out for a quick 3-minute visit and then presumably get chained up in the restricted area we weren't allowed to enter. To make matters worse, the unspayed dogs on the property were in a pretty gruesome state and it was freezing cold at night. Still, the river views made up for some of the issues.

The highlight of my stay was definitely the elephant interaction, which was truly unforgettable. However, the rest of my experience was marred by some pretty significant issues. The hotel seemed to be in disrepair, with cracks in the walls and peeling paint everywhere. To make matters worse, the beds were incredibly uncomfortable and the bathroom was in a state of disrepair, with a leaky faucet and a shower that didn't drain properly.

“This was an exceptional experience. All the elephants were very well looked after. Having the elephants come to our room”

This place has a great location right on the river, but it was freezing at night. The room itself was clean and cozy, but the cold was a bit of a problem. Still, the area is just amazing.

“Overpriced and disappointing overall”

We were expecting a lot more from this place, especially considering the price. The room was cute and basic, but it lacked even the bare essentials - no hooks for hanging clothes, no cups or glasses, and a hairdryer that smelled like it was on fire. The elephant visit was a nice touch, but it was over in a few minutes and felt more like a gimmick than a real experience. The food was okay, but the breakfast was a total disappointment.
