I was drawn to the quiet surroundings and the easy walking routes nearby, but the breakfast felt underwhelming for the price; the staff was just one woman, and we often had to wait for food to be replenished or for her to make cappuccinos and coffee while restocking the buffet.

The terrace restaurant was pleasant and I could recharge my bike, but the basement room was very basic, had no view, only a small window, and cost €250 a night—same as the breakfast.
The informal welcome, the location, and the quality of the half‑board dishes were great, but the 2024 flood repairs in Valnontey are still incomplete, so the valley’s beauty and accessibility that were a major selling point of the property are missing.
