The place turned out to be really nice – large, clean, and matching the pictures. The kitchen was well equipped, with olive oil, salt, and pepper, but there was no coffee, and the nearest shop was a bit far; many grocery stores were closed on Sunday, and we arrived late Saturday night. We were a bit late, but the person who met us was polite and friendly, speaking only Spanish, which we didn’t understand, yet we managed to get by. The pool was deep and pleasant, and cats wandered around. No deposit was needed (though the listing mentioned one, I’m not sure). We chose it because it’s outside the city and easy to reach by car. We also visited Caminito del Rey; the drive from the property to the trailhead was about 15 minutes, so it was convenient (just book earlier if you want that activity). On the downside, there was no shampoo or shower gel, only liquid soap. The bathroom tap sprayed water to the sides. We asked about coffee; the manager said they provide a few coffee capsules only for the first morning, but we had none and received no reply. Tiny ants appeared in the apartment, becoming noticeable after we left bread on the kitchen table. The listing said we could use an outside grill and that wood would be provided, so I asked, and the first response was yes, we’ll bring it, but later messages said grilling outdoors isn’t allowed during certain times in Spain, and doing so could cost a lot (I don’t recall the exact amount). I appreciated the info, but it should have been sent upfront, and the wood shouldn’t have been offered since it was still very hot and dry in mid‑September.
