“Außergewöhnlich”

A cool place that feels brand new. Even though the space is limited, everything is well thought out, practical, and nicely set up. Because of the weather we couldn’t use the lovely rooftop terrace, but it’s great when big ships pass right in front of it! The only downside is the noise from a passing boat and the bed felt too firm for my light build.

“Like a campervan on water, it is not for a quick night stay”

It was a quirky, cozy spot—a campervan on water. The rocking from the waves and the sounds of the small boat harbor made it special. The interior was clean and the beds were fine. The host was very responsive when we asked about the place. I would have liked a paper with instructions on how to use the facilities, like the water system, and I’m not sure if hot water was supposed to be in the shower. It seemed the electrical installation was unstable; the fridge didn’t work when we arrived, and the stove stopped working.

We stayed on a cozy, charming boat with our family of four, close together yet comfortable. The vessel was well equipped with kitchenware, a dishwasher, and tableware, and offered great views of the marina and sailing area. The covered deck let us grill and enjoy the nice weather. For the price it gave us everything we needed and a nice chance to try something new. The downside was the industrial surroundings, a drainage issue that left standing water in the bathroom, and a lot of technical instructions that the host could have explained on arrival; we only figured it out by reading the manual sent before we got there, which was tricky without any boating experience.

“Feine maritime besondere Unterkunft für gemütliches Beisammensein am Wasser.”

A houseboat is a special place; the small marina is very quiet and secluded, you can park for free and the walk to the boat is short. You can’t swim because the water isn’t clean, but that’s worth knowing because it comes with a rooftop terrace and a slide. Sleeping is wonderful on the good mattress while rocking with the waves. The description by the owner and the care from the owner were very good. It could have been a bit cleaner; a small houseboat is easy to clean. The steering system clattered loudly in strong wind, which was very noisy and should be checked more often to ensure the boat is secured. The shower had low pressure, but there was a washroom in the marina.
