The terrace was great, but the bed was oddly shaped so we kept hitting the corners with our toes all the time.

The spot is convenient and the host is very friendly and helpful, but the breakfast at the local café was bad, and the air‑conditioning rattles loudly without cooling the room.

The property is fantastic, with rooftop decks and gardens, yet they refused to accept a credit card for the city tax.

The roof terrace offers a striking view over the city, but Naples itself is noisy and exhausting, especially at night and early morning; the room faced a street that was loud all day, and the bar guests would leave so quiet that you could hear the TV in the opposite house, then forklift trucks rumbled over cobblestones and cafés opened. With windows open, sleep was impossible; with them closed, you could just walk in. During my stay there was also a construction site opposite, whose noise I recorded and played for the so‑called host, who then asked if I should have woken him at six in the morning—he slept in his cool, quiet rooms by the courtyard—he should have called the police. The B&B is kitschy and perfumed, cluttered with oddities, and the supposed living areas resemble the display rooms of a mediocre antique shop, so clean that no one wants to sit. The host forces exhausted guests to a one‑hour, monotonous, self‑congratulatory tour of boudoir‑like rooms (statues of busty Madonna figures nursing babies, miniature Easy Rider motorcycles, dreadful legal bookcases, and poor copies of Pompeii frescos) before finally letting them into their rooms. The roof terrace is nice—I didn’t use it because I checked out the next morning after a totally ruined night and moved to another B&B. Attempts at a generous settlement failed. I didn’t argue about it.

The apartment was gorgeous, with a superb terrace, and the central location was ideal, but the breakfast left something to be desired.
