The spot is close to Trastevere terminal, only about a 5‑minute walk, and trains, trams, and buses to all of Rome depart from there. Supermarkets and restaurants are nearby, and the famous Trastevere square is about a 30‑minute walk away. Room Sofia was large and well lit, with a fairly good bathroom. Elizabeth was helpful and answered a few questions on WhatsApp. The shower needs urgent cleaning and a missing piece of the shower curtain lets water leak into the bathroom during a shower. When I tried to leave my luggage after my stay to enjoy my last day in Rome, I wasn’t allowed to.

“Wir waren super zufrieden kommen gerne wieder!”

We were completely delighted with our stay! The location’s excellent transport links were perfect, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and both the room and bathroom were spotless. We especially appreciated the friendly and hassle‑free communication. From the start we felt at ease and would return anytime. Absolutely recommended! The only downside, for which the host is not at fault, was that the elevator was out of order.

It’s ideal if you need to be close to Trastevere Station. The elevator can’t be used.

“Assolutamente sconsigliato”

The place is in a good spot. There was no welcome at all. The room was extremely sparse and bare: to use the kettle you had to unplug the mini‑fridge, and there was not even a tea bag or sugar. The same issue applied to the phone charger, which required unplugging the bedside lamp. There was no chair, only a chair that collapsed. I also note that daily housekeeping is not provided, which should be a minimum service under Lazio regional regulations.

“Close to the city center but too expensive”

The host was easy to communicate with. On arrival we got check‑in instructions via WhatsApp. The apartment has air‑conditioning and the city centre is within walking distance. There’s even a taxi stop around the corner—very convenient! It’s important to note that payment is required on arrival and isn’t processed online. We didn’t sleep well. 1/ The bed turned out to be a sofa bed, which was a nightmare for our backs. I would advise the host to invest in a proper bed. We would have rated higher if it weren’t for this. 2/ We woke up several times because of the doorbell. Other guests ring this bell to get into the building, which is annoying at midnight or early morning. Overall this room is too expensive for what it offers. The other rooms have real beds and a bathroom in the same apartment; those rooms are almost the same price as this split bedroom/bathroom with a sofa bed. That doesn’t add up.
