The restaurant was solid, with a good selection at breakfast and decent dinner quality, but communication was mediocre. The night was noisy, especially the crowing rooster, and the lack of a lift meant having to climb many stairs with heavy luggage.

A very beautiful hotel, friendly staff, and excellent breakfast.

The location is great among the Rodern pinot noirs. The old farmhouse was closed for a year for spa, sauna, and extra rooms renovation, yet you can still dine and have breakfast there. The evening restaurant opened only two months ago, served tasty dishes, but there was no proper wine list yet—they were still compiling it. I did enjoy a top pinot noir from the owner's brother’s Burgundy collection, which was spot on. We were a bit disappointed because the modern rooms we had seen in pictures were not available; instead we got a ground‑floor room for disabled guests that looked a little dated.

The old building is wonderfully restored with care and taste. In our bathroom, there was a faint smell of heating oil.

The hotel’s location is ideal for exploring the nearby area. It blends nicely into the historic walls, especially the pool and spa area, and the breakfast selection was extensive.
