“Good fun and good value”

One night was fun, with a good kitchen that had a heater, a dining bar, stools, and very comfortable beds; I loved the pretty fairy lights. The shower was basic, but I could use the hot showers in the house.

“A bit of a mixed stay”

The treehouse and sauna made for a novel stay; both were comfortable and the staff were very helpful when we arrived and there was a room mix‑up with other guests. It seemed there were good facilities for BBQs, a chill‑out space, and a kitchen, but because of other guests we didn’t really get to use them. I think the place is probably more suited for a big group that books the whole place, rather than me and my sister who wanted a peaceful retreat to read and do yoga. I feel conflicted with this review because we were probably unlucky with the people staying at the site at the same time as us; they were disruptive and messy to the point it really ruined the peaceful intention of the stay, but I suppose as owners aren’t onsite this is always a risk. I did appreciate their help coming over to remove people who had set up in our room! Possibly key locks with codes sent to the person who’s booked would be advisable. All this aside, the road noise is a lot louder than I expected.

“Amazing!!!”

The beds were incredibly comfortable, everything you could need was there, and the sauna was a great bonus—no complaints at all.

The place was great for the grandchildren, but the kitchen area needed an upgrade and the owners didn’t greet us when we arrived.
