The staff were attentive, the décor was nice, and the room came with a fridge and microwave. The hotel is very good and a hidden gem, but unfortunately, because it’s a renovated old building, sometimes they leave parts of the structure with an old‑time feel, which shows in the floor and makes it look worn, taking away from the hotel’s merits, along with a damp smell. If they fix those two issues, the hotel would be excellent and without any caveats.

It was close to the airport, close to the funeral home where I needed to be the next day, and the train station was right next‑door. There were coffee shops, stores, and restaurants not far away. Common areas weren’t lit in the evening, and the patio area where you could sit for the continental breakfast had the air conditioning off in the morning, making it slightly warm.

The location was good, being close to all the places I needed to visit. Compared to other similar hotels I’ve stayed at, like Mayagüez Plaza, I think the breakfast could offer a bit more variety. I also understand that the front desk staff could improve their service. Except for a young night‑shift worker who was very friendly, I found the rest of the staff’s demeanor quite cold; sometimes they didn’t even respond to greetings. Once, I asked a young man who I understand has a functional diversity about something, and his reply was very harsh. I have experience working and interacting with people of different personalities and needs, but I consider it very important that front desk personnel are warm, friendly, and customer‑service oriented. This aspect matters to me and would definitely be a factor in deciding whether I’d stay again.
