The hotel’s layout and style were appealing, and the food was good. On the fourth floor, heating was inadequate, corridor lighting was very poor, and I didn’t like the dogs in the hotel, especially in the restaurant.

The hotel breakfast was nice and good. Some areas, though, need updating.

The problem with my room on check‑in was resolved quickly, so it didn’t become a problem. There was plenty of seating, a lovely balcony view, and the Grand hotel’s description was accurate. However, I was charged £5 for a bottle of water at dinner even though tap water wasn’t offered, and the TV selection was poor.
