Breakfast was lovely and chatting with Jody was a pleasure. We felt our room was quite small and the total lack of personal contact until the morning after we arrived was odd. It could have been so good but we paid a much higher price than a friend who stayed down the road and we simply didn’t feel it was value for money. More staff, bigger room, more facilities such as a bar would help.

The Dartmoor location is stunning. The house has been lovingly and sympathetically restored and decorated. It’s family‑run with great personal attention to detail. The home‑cooked breakfast was delicious and elegantly presented.

The property is stunning, in a lovely location. The hosting is wonderful and the breakfast is fabulous. Nothing to complain about, but if you’re picky an iron would have been useful.
