The hotel sits close to the train station and the room was clean and comfortable, with quick responses to phone inquiries and solid, fast WiFi. The only downside was the lack of on‑site staff, so there was no chance for face‑to‑face interaction, which would have been nice but wasn't essential.

The place offers great food options, with Morrisons just across the road, and the ensuite bathroom is modern and well built; everything was clean, neat and tidy.

I needed more than two teabags and two coffees for the two days I stayed.

The bathroom had a burning smell, the tap made the sink smell like sewer water, there were crisps on the floor when I arrived, the window lock was broken, the TV didn't work, and there was a lot of noise during the early hours.
