They had an ice‑cream fridge at reception and the roof didn’t leak on a sunny day, but the room was dark and dingy, not like the photos, lacked bedside lamps, felt like a rock, and there was no kettle to brew coffee.

The location was great, on a quiet street in an artist neighborhood, and the facilities were clean and well kept. The room was big but had almost no natural light, just a tiny sliver of a window, and the staff were attentive, friendly, and tried hard to accommodate every request and answer any questions. The quiet, relaxed vibe is still close to the action and historical sites, and the small koi pond out front is a lovely place to sit. I would have liked a bigger window and more vegetarian or vegan options at the hotel restaurant.
