We really liked the hotel’s location, the service was excellent, and the manager was very friendly and recommended many great sightseeing spots; the seven days were fantastic. Breakfast was very good and everything was perfect.

Breakfast was excellent, everything was available and restocked immediately, and we could request extras like scrambled eggs. The location is ideal for hikers and cyclists in both directions, with a bike garage available. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist; we would return again. There were no shortcomings for us.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was excellent with a surprisingly large variety for a hotel with only seven rooms, and they kept restocking right up until the end of the breakfast window. The manager fulfilled several special requests. The double rooms were very spacious, each with a large fridge, which was useful for a multi‑day hiking stay. The hotel’s location directly on the Moselle River is convenient, and the hotel has charm; the value for money is good. The building dates from the 1930s and lacks typical hotel architecture: there is no elevator, and the room layout is individually shaped by the building, so it isn’t wheelchair accessible, which was not a problem for us.

From the moment I arrived at Hotel Gerlach, I felt very comfortable. I especially want to highlight Christian at the reception; he was incredibly friendly, warm, and helpful, greeting me warmly and even carrying my suitcase to the room. Throughout my stay he was attentive, asked about my day, and wished me a good one. For my birthday, my table was beautifully set and a small card was included—a truly lovely and personal gesture. The hotel’s location is also wonderful; from the breakfast room and terrace you get a great view of the Moselle, and directly across the street is the riverbank, perfect for a walk. Breakfast was abundant, varied, and nicely presented, and the room was entirely fine. I felt completely at ease and welcome and would come back anytime.
