“Unexpectedly great location!”
We planned our trip to Amsterdam fairly last minute, in the middle of summer, and unsurprisingly couldn't find anywhere affordable to stay in the Canal district. But I ended up loving the Museum district! It's stately and quiet, and with the tram around the corner it's a breeze to get to all parts of the city. I also like that the hotel allows you to waive housekeeping on any day and get a free drink instead. We booked a "small" room, and it was SMALL. Better for one person than a couple, as one of us had to crawl on and off the end of the bed. Also HOT. It was unusually warm the week we were there and the little desk fan did almost nothing. The bathroom, especially, was stifling with no ventilation
Nothing good. The service was terrible.
“Not worth the money- it wasn’t cheap”
The spot is great, but the rooms are tiny and feel under-equipped.
Location was the only plus.
“Heerlijk hotel op een perfecte locatie.”
The staff is exceptionally friendly and the hotel’s location is perfect! That was mainly what gave me the excellent value for money. That is not something the hotel or staff can do anything about, but you notice that the hotel mainly attracts people who stay for short periods. As a result, it was already quite noisy in the morning because many people with rolling luggage were walking through the corridors to check out. But I think that is inevitable in the world city that Amsterdam has become.
