“Halifax pub tour.”
I loved the four‑poster room; it was cozy and comfortable, and I’d definitely recommend it. Halifax is a fantastic town with plenty of friendly locals and pubs.

The location was perfect for a quick stroll, and the stay was really comfortable. I appreciated the original touches, a small fridge, milk, and the supplied crockery and cutlery—something I usually bring myself. I’ll be back to Leeds for Christmas if the room’s still available. Halifax surpassed my expectations; if you’ve never been, the traditional market hall is a must‑see, and the Peace Hall with its cafés and independent shops is beautiful—see the pics below. The bathroom window was only frosted at the top, so we could see a bit from the shower via the mirror, and there’s scaffolding on a nearby property.

We stayed overnight and weren’t put off by the main entrance; once inside, the apartment was lovely—quaint, tastefully decorated with original features exposed. The bed was comfortable and quiet (even on Sunday night) in Halifax city centre. The thoughtful touches made us feel welcome, and while the facilities were basic, everything we needed was there. We even managed to get Netflix on. Plenty of restaurants were within walking distance, and Halifax offers beautiful sights to visit during the day. The place was clean and well presented, the shower was nice, and the price was great—though I’m not sure about other nights or the rest of the year. I’d highly recommend it. The first impression was a bit off‑putting, but once inside, that didn’t matter. The old building had creaky floors, but the shop underneath didn’t bother us later in the evening. Parking was free after 8 pm, not 6 pm, and the council keeps trying to squeeze more money out of us. We only had a 2‑hour parking slot outside the apartment, so we risked it by paying for two 2‑hour lots from 4 pm to 8 pm, then free, and didn’t get a ticket—though it was a Sunday night. The doors could use a bit of WD40, but if that’s the worst I can say, you’ll still have a great place.

The location is great, and the décor and little extras add a touch of love. No complaints.
