I felt like I’d opened the season, and even though the boat had a picturesque vibe, it was covered in cobwebs, smelled stale and moldy, I had no water for dishes, the battery‑powered electricity couldn’t charge my phone, and some spots didn’t work. It was also very cold and damp—maybe avoid renting at the start of spring. The nearby highway disturbed the quiet, and the price‑to‑quality ratio wasn’t appealing.
