The service was amazing; a staff member swapped our room right away because the original one smelled of cigarette smoke. The place is well‑located, clean, and the bed was comfortable.

Located at the base of Burney Mountain, Shasta Pines Motel & Suites offers free parking for boats and RVs, as well as complimentary WiFi in all rooms. Each uniquely furnished room features mountain views, a dining area, flat-screen cable TV, microwave, refrigerator, and coffee machine. A picnic area and barbecue facilities are available, with nearby hiking opportunities and proximity to Shasta Lake (1 hour's drive) and Whiskeytown National Recreation Area (70 miles).

The location was fine. However, a bath towel had been used to clean something, was washed, but still shouldn’t have been in the room. The overall condition of the room needs improvement.

Being close to state and national parks was a big plus.

The outside looked nice, but the photos in the ads didn’t match the actual rooms. A “Deluxe” room advertised with two queen beds turned out to be a small room with one queen and one full‑size bed. The floor was filthy with many cracks, and my feet were black after just one night. The bathroom had mismatched patches and mold/mildew in the corners and baseboards. With the price we paid, it was definitely a rip‑off—more like a room you’d rent for an hour.
