“Wonderful and warm, a welcome so typical of the best in Irish hospitality! Thank you, Julie and John”
The Finns are the hosts, and they are extraordinary in welcoming guests. The breakfast was superb, with Edith making sure all is delicious, and John cooks. It's wonderful to stay at Aherne's with such hospitality. All was great! I didn't drive so I can't comment on parking, etc

The décor is beautiful, with huge rooms flooded with light, antique furnishings, and very comfortable beds that are spotlessly clean. The staff are welcoming, and the breakfast selection is absolutely delicious—probably the best I’ve had while staying elsewhere! The townhouse is linked to a restaurant and bar, which is great, but the private breakfast room is bright with crisp linen and a lovely lounge that’s elegant and cozy. I would have loved to stay longer. Nothing was missing; the new management kept the high standards I’d come to expect from the previous owners.

Breakfast and the rest of the food were excellent. The milk in the bedroom had gone bad, there was no iron available so I had to request one, and my partner was told there were none but they eventually provided one. The shower curtain was unsafe—tangled for a tall person—and I missed one breakfast but was still charged for it.
