The location is great and the breakfast meets Uzbek standards, but the beds are uncomfortable, staff can’t speak English making communication hard, Wi‑Fi was unreliable, the bathroom smelled awful and there were many flies.

Breakfast was tasty and included in the price, but I wasn’t happy with the overbooking: I ended up in a 4‑bed room, then got moved twice to a 3‑bed room and finally to a 2‑bed room.

The hosts were welcoming, 10/10; we checked in late but were greeted warmly and settled in quickly. The room was 10/10—clean, comfortable beds, heating (crucial for the off‑season), and the heated floor in the bathroom was especially appreciated. Breakfast was 10/10: hearty and delicious, so we didn’t feel the need for lunch afterward. The location scored 9/10, close to attractions with easy access. I’d recommend staying at Farhad if we ever return to Samarkand.
