“Wonderful (not ideal for pets)”
The setting is beautiful and the building is unique. We had a pleasant stay and would strongly recommend it to travelers who don’t bring pets. A fan would have been useful, as the windows only stayed open with a chair holding them. We came with a dog and were uneasy about the many warning signs and instructions about the cost if a dog was anywhere but on the floor. While we understand the need to protect the property and we didn’t leave our dog in bed, it might be better to prohibit pets entirely. The pet fee is up to 30 € per day (depending on size), but no protective cover, water bowl, or drip mat is provided. Everything else was fine, but it left us a bit uneasy. If it rained, I’m not sure how a wet dog would have been handled on the nice carpets or if paws could scratch the wooden floor during a longer stay.
