“Decent for Sleeping & Shower, nothing more.”

The hotel was affordable in George Town, surrounded by many restaurants, free water, no mosquitoes, a good shower and toilet, good A/C, and a comfortable bed. It sits on a Chinese‑dominated street with few halal options, but a 5‑minute walk takes you to another street. Overall it worked, though the reception had limited availability, English was weak, the storage for clothes was tiny so we had to keep our clothes in a luggage, and once I saw a cockroach in the shower I had to remove it because the reception was again absent.

The location was great and the staff were very friendly. It was disappointing that the room didn’t have a fridge, but the shop on the first floor lent us one.

“Schönes Gebäude und super lage”

The building was central and beautiful, the large family room had comfortable beds. The family room had windows, but the blinds always opened a bit with wind. We didn’t find anything to secure them, so the room was dark.

“Great value for money for a centrally located, modern hotel room.”

The room was modern and spacious with a nice toilet and shower. The location was excellent, within walking distance of many attractions. The street had a convenience store a stone’s throw away, and there were plenty of street‑food stalls, restaurants, and trendy coffee shops. We got bitten by mosquitoes on nights we forgot our repellent, but it wasn’t too bad. The linen smelled like it hadn’t been washed, but after I mentioned it they changed it immediately. You also need to note the PIN for the front door. When we arrived, the Wi‑Fi was off and I didn’t realize the front desk closed at a specific time, so I spent time figuring out how to access their email with the PIN codes. Breakfast was included, but we only ate it once because we preferred the variety outdoors.

“Comfortable, great location.”

The hotel’s location is great because it’s right in the centre of Georgetown and within walking distance of most places. The family room was perfect for our family of four, with two very comfortable beds and plenty of space. The hotel was close to Komtar bus station, where I needed to be for the transport to the race start for the Penang Bridge Marathon. The lady who assisted us was very friendly, even though she could not speak much English. Even though the front doors lock after hours, they provide you with the codes if you need to enter or exit after those times. Breakfast was not terrible but very basic – toast, baked beans, jam, and coffee.
