The rooms are very lovingly furnished and clean, the hosts friendly, and the breakfast and dinner excellent. Moreover, the pension’s location is a superb starting point for hikes in the Fichtelgebirge, such as to Ochsenkopf and Schneeberg.

The Wiesengrund Guesthouse sits right next to the Bischofsgrün cable car, offering plenty of options for sports and hikes. The hosts always greeted us warmly and gave solid advice on local sights and cultural events. I especially appreciated the regional dinner, with a menu that changed daily.

Breakfast was superbly varied, and many dishes were seasoned with wild herbs, which really topped it off. We also enjoyed the option to dine in the evening by reservation, which we liked a lot. The location was excellent. We would have liked a small fridge in the room to keep our own food for hikes.

We were welcomed warmly and were able to check in a bit earlier than expected. The rooms were thoughtfully arranged and spotless, making us feel right at home. No negative aspects to report.
