Because my earlier reservation at “Homestay Elite” didn’t confirm, I had no choice but to book this place while traveling to Mysuru; I booked around 3 PM IST, called Mr. Manjunatha to say I’d check in at 6:30 PM and he agreed. I stayed in rooms 119 & 121 at Hotel Raj Empire, but the system marked my booking as canceled. I spoke with Michele, Jasmine, and Vana over the phone, yet the stay was awful: the management was poor, the rooms were dirty, and the staff—especially Manjunatha—were unprofessional. I was overcharged for non‑AC rooms, paid an extra ₹300 to get AC in room 121, and couldn’t get AC in room 119 at all. There was no Wi‑Fi, room 119 had no waste bin, and only four small soaps for six adults. The TVs didn’t work because the cable was expired, and the staff brushed us off, telling us to “understand” due to being short‑staffed. Hot water was only available at 6:18 AM, which threw off my schedule; instead of leaving at 7:00 AM, I was delayed and had to wait two hours at Chamundi Hills, causing me to miss several tourist spots and ruining the family vacation.
