The stay was especially lovely because the Karawan Riad offered a pleasant retreat; in the booked Meltem Suite with its own garden it felt like a luxury home. Water was always available, fresh, tasty pastries, and tea was brought to the suite on request. Celebrating my girlfriend’s 60th birthday, the staff welcomed us in the most charming way: a special breakfast was served on the rooftop terrace, and in the late afternoon we were surprised in an extra room with a fantastic birthday cake, the festively set table covered in fragrant rose petals, and even a birthday song was sung—truly moving and beautiful. The Hamam treatment was extremely soothing and relaxing, full of respect—highly recommended to indulge in this body treatment. Hair is washed with herbs, peeling and oiling leave the skin silk‑soft; a wonderful experience. Breakfast was very good and extensive, especially the Moroccan bread and omelette. The jams and the almond‑oil spread were delicious. Dinner on the rooftop was also good, as was the Moroccan wine. A hotel can only be as good and beautiful as its staff, and these people were exceptionally friendly, helpful, loving—they became friends in a short time. Staying at Karawan Riad felt like “coming home.” Such service cannot be found on the next leg of the journey!
