The building is old, but the cleaning was spot‑clean; as someone who’s sensitive to dust, I didn’t notice any issues. Because I arrived during the Mid‑Autumn holiday, the few local eateries in Xizhou were all closed, and the convenience store was a bit of a walk away, so I had to bike into Chiayi City for dinner. The “double room” in the tatami suite felt a little cramped for two people; staying alone was fine, but it was tight for a couple.

很安靜遠離塵囂很放鬆很快就入睡了 附近很多古早味美食跟古老建築物拍照起來很好看. 街上大車子很多如果可以規劃行人專用走道會更好

The layout and décor feel comfortable, and there are plenty of books to explore. Although the old house doesn’t block sound well, the staff reminds guests to keep the volume down, and the other guests were all polite, so I wasn’t disturbed.
