“A fantastic family base in Nouméa that combined resort relaxation with easy access to everything we wanted to explore.”

The location was fantastic, with direct access to a beautiful beach and surprisingly good snorkeling right outside the hotel, where we saw plenty of tropical fish, coral, and even a turtle. The pool and spa were excellent, and our one‑bedroom suite was spacious and very comfortable for a week with our nine‑year‑old. Having a proper kitchen was also really useful. Anse Vata was a great base for exploring Nouméa, with plenty within walking distance, and we managed the entire stay without needing a rental car. The sofa bed was a little uncomfortable, especially for a longer stay, but otherwise there was very little we didn’t like about the property.

“Very relaxed stay with great outlook”

The view was lovely and the safe beach just outside the hotel had a lifeguard, making for a nice swim. Lunch at L'Escale was delightful, but the evening food felt more like bar fare. The outdoor pool was unheated, so it was too cold to use in mid‑September. Some evenings, music from a nearby spot made us close the windows until it stopped. The indoor pool was heated, but a slightly higher temperature would have been better.

We were thrilled with the heated pool, spa, and sauna. The hotel sits away from the busier beaches yet remains close to sights and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was super clean, spacious, and offered a beautiful view. The only downside was that the mattress on the bed was too firm.
