“Ok for the view. Could be better with lots of refurbishment.”
The bedroom was fully equipped, the bed was comfortable, and the view of the mountains was perfect with no neighbours or buildings on the other side, giving plenty of space. The facilities included a fun game room, a swimming‑pool area with a lawn to relax on, and parking. Breakfast was good. The old bathroom was dusty, had mould spots and limescale; the boiler was not hot upon arrival, so we had to ask for it to be switched on to get hot water. Shower gel and shampoo were quite dodgy, and a shower curtain was missing – we had to ask for that too. When the staff came into the shower, they kept their shoes on. The team seemed over‑staffed, but it took a bit too long to complete check‑in; the printer didn’t work, and we lost time because they asked for our papers at arrival and then again later by email. The swimming pool was a bit dirty to swim in, even though the pool guy did some cleaning. The wading pool for children was clearly broken and needed maintenance. It might be better during high season, but it was not what we expected from a 4‑star hotel, and communicating in English with the staff was not easy.
