Upon arrival at the booked property, we were told the hotel had no available rooms and we had to be accommodated elsewhere. We were not informed beforehand and neither did we request nor accept the change. We were sent to another location where the conditions were absolutely unacceptable for lodging. The place was in a very bad state, with hygiene and safety issues that made us refuse to stay and leave immediately. Problems included: filthy and obviously unhygienic premises; dirty bed linens; very dirty walls; dirty and unhygienic shower; dirty toilet and bathroom; electrical outlets and installations that posed a potential electrocution risk; overall unsuitable and unsafe living conditions. The alternative location also caused serious access and parking problems. We were led through narrow, unsuitable streets, and the parking offered did not seem safe for our car. We do not consider this location an equivalent or reasonable alternative to the hotel we had booked.

The room had parking, but the air conditioning didn't work, was dirty, and smelled of cigarette smoke.
