The area is absolutely beautiful, set in Snowdonia, and the Owl Pod was a gem—comfortable, with everything you need for a couple of days’ rest, and I loved the owl theme. The little touches make a difference, though I didn’t expect fresh milk, butter, or even fresh bread, let alone some Welsh cakes. Those lovely finishing touches were unexpected. I’ll definitely come back over the winter for fishing in Barmouth.

I absolutely loved how easy the check‑in was; the directions to the place were clear, and it was so quiet and serene. The spot itself felt like the bush back in South Africa, surrounded by trees, and the tame birds that came for bread each morning were amazing. There are great walks nearby for dog owners, and the area is secure so you don’t have to worry about escapees. They stocked everything you could think of—just remember to bring your own toothpaste, since the nearest shop is a little way away, not open all the time, and Deliveroo isn’t available. The hosts were fantastic; thanks so much for a wonderful time away. I highly recommend it.
