The location was convenient, the room was spacious and clean with a nice TV, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable; the balcony offered a relaxing river view. The only downside was that we arrived early, told them we were there, they promised to call when the room was ready but never did.

Our room was outstanding. It was hard to leave to explore Gatlinburg! The bed was comfortable, and the balcony offered the best entertainment anyone could ask for (bears and people watching). I would recommend the Bear Skin Lodge to anyone looking for a place to stay. I was a little disappointed with breakfast because I wanted sausage and eggs, not a microwave biscuit, but it didn’t ruin the trip.

I don’t eat breakfast at hotels because I have gluten, dairy, and egg allergies. Usually those options aren’t available, though Cheerios were offered but no dairy‑free milk. Adding that item would improve the breakfast service. Dairy‑free milk and gluten‑free products are missing from the breakfast bar.
