“Não gostei”

The location was very quiet. At the time of booking, the listing said breakfast was included for €15 per person, but later I was told there was no breakfast available. I also asked for a double bed, yet they gave me two single beds with double sheets, which was not what I requested. The accommodation had no internet access and the TV’s picture quality was so poor that you had to strain to see the screen. To make matters worse, the pool was dirty and full of insects, showing a lack of cleaning and maintenance. Overall, the experience fell far below the expectations and the conditions advertised at the time of booking.

“Bien en general”

A quiet spot with easy parking and a bakery and restaurants close by for breakfast. The room was spacious and the pool was very pleasant. The Wi‑Fi didn’t reach the rooms, only the common area, which is mentioned in the description but could be improved for more comfort. The owner told us there was a common lounge but didn’t mention a shared kitchen; we only discovered that on the last day. 😞

“Overall good property in Madeira”

Antonio was a genuinely kind host even when complications arose. He realized we couldn’t stay four nights in his house because of overbooking and booked us a 4‑star hotel in Funchal at no extra cost. The property itself was quiet and nice. The location is up in the mountains, which isn’t ideal. The kitchen could be cleaner. A church bell rings every 15 minutes; at night it’s heard less often but still audible. Room cleaning could also be better.
