Joangi is an old farmhouse that has been beautifully restored into a guest house, with a tasteful blend of old and new. However, walking from Joangi to St Jean Pied de Port takes you along a busy road with very little pavement, which is the only downside.

A very friendly place with common areas that encourage conversation with Jean, the host, and other guests. The large, comfortable room is in a beautiful historic building, though the Wi‑Fi is unstable.

The location is perfect for hikers and lovers of the Pyrenees. Jean, our host, was very helpful and accessible throughout our stay, offering many good tips and local recommendations. The house was redecorated with great taste, each room having its own personality. The rooms are very quiet, comfortable, and pleasant.

Jean’s house is beautifully decorated, a superb mix of modernity and respect for its historical heritage. Jean is a fantastic host, very warm, and we formed a deep connection that touched us. As athletes, we enjoyed the river in the late afternoon for a relaxing active break. An unexpected, very pleasant bonus ❤️ Our stay was enhanced by the serenity that prevails in Jean’s house. We’ll definitely return!
