Mercure Shanghai Hongqiao South

“Bon”

The staff were great, but the location was too far away.

“一般般啦，离三星还有些距离”

早餐还不错. 员工素质要提高，加强培训，不要为难客人…

“面对包裹遗失问题，酒店缺乏调查与沟通。”

My overall experience was disappointing because the front desk’s handling of a lost parcel left me very frustrated. The courier’s photo showed the package sealed when it arrived at the hotel, yet on the second day staff told me it couldn’t be found, and only on the third day was it delivered to my room with the outer packaging damaged and the contents missing, leaving just an empty box. Throughout the process the hotel didn’t cooperate with the investigation, simply blamed the courier and told me to ask the seller for a resend, offering no answers to my questions and claiming no CCTV footage, saying it wasn’t their problem. This was the second time I stayed at this hotel and lost a parcel, so I hope they improve their receipt and storage procedures to prevent future guests from facing the same issue.

“Disappointing and staff were not kind or helpful.”

The beds were comfy and it was nice to have restocked water and a few soda. The lobby had a nice area to congregate in. The staff at the front desk are horrible. I’ve stayed at many Mercure but this was a poor representation of the brand. The staff ignored used, wouldn’t greet us, couldn’t even crack a smile. On our last day when we extended our check out time by 1hr, they didn’t update our room cards so we were locked out and when we asked them to help, the lady said “she would let us into our rooms once we write a good review” and gave a small gift to try to bribe us. I explained I would give an honest review because I didn’t like the way she treated us. She immediately changed for trying to suck up to sullen again. I would not recommend this location if you’re not Chinese, they are not interested

The bed was good. The location was mediocre.
