The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, the rooms were stylishly modern‑rustic with comfy beds, the dinner was delicious and the breakfast plentiful, and the outdoor area with the pool was lovely, but the fly screen on the balcony was torn.

Sehr nette Gastgeber. Wir kamen um 21.30 Uhr an und bekamen noch etwas zu essen. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön gestaltet und die Poolanlage ist auch sehr schön. Das Frühstück ist in Buffetform und für jeden etwas dabei. Nichts

The place felt like a family‑run spot but lacked warmth; the young man was friendly and helpful, the rest of the staff were unimpressed and mostly idle, the bar by the pool was nice but the bartender was unfriendly, and when I returned there was no one there so I sought out the young man who was the only bright spot. We were just overnighting on our way south, so the pool didn’t matter, though it looked nice and would be welcome for a longer stay. Parking was on site with plenty of space. The room was good and the newly renovated bathroom was well done. The evening meal was one of the worst we’ve had, especially for an Italian meal; I asked for a bill breakdown to see what we actually paid, it was cheap but we would have preferred to pay a bit more for something enjoyable. The staff always seemed idle. We took pre‑dinner drinks outside in the shade, not near the pool; the seat cushions were dirty and there was dog poop on the grass. We booked because of glowing reviews and can’t understand why our experience differed so much. We drive from the UK to Italy twice a year, have favorite stops, but also like new places. Did we arrive on a bad night? Was the usual cook absent? Where were the friendly staff?

The pool and bar were great, the food was simple but tasty, and the family was very welcoming, but the room and bathroom were a bit shabby and the balcony chairs were broken.
