Excellent location, accommodations and dining. Certainly not inexpensive but worthy of the expense. Some noise from above levels

Best albergue on the Camino :) (It is not an albergue. It is a very nice hotel and we are still recovering from the shock.) We turned up halfway through the Camino del Norte, sweaty and tired, and they upgraded us to a sea view apartment for free. The hotel sits right on the beach, so you step out of the door onto the sand. The apartment was enormous and properly designed, not hotel generic but thought through down to the smallest detail. Everything fresh, new and perfectly clean, more like a high end home than a hotel. A full set of everything, including a washing machine and dishwasher, plus a lot of small complimentary touches. It feels expensive in the best sense. The spa is excellent. After two long walking days, the saltwater pool, sauna and hammam were exactly what we needed. The massage was worth every cent, and our legs are still grateful. Dinner was the best food we have had on this trip, beautifully presented and still generous. Breakfast was equally high quality, with real variety. The staff were friendly and genuinely helpful throughout, and communication was perfect from the moment we booked. Ten out of ten. Really nothing to pick on

Accueil très chaleureux, chambre superbe, équipement au top (même des serviettes de plage et raquettes!) Le restaurant est délicieux aussi. Un détail: il manque de crochets pour suspendre et faire sécher des choses (serviette de plage par exemple)

Everything was simply perfect: clean and nicely decorated rooms, lovely staff (especially at the reception), nice spa (great massages), good bar with excellent pintxos and perfect location right on the beach. We appreciated the personalized service and the partial sea view from our room. Deba is a very charming town located right between Bilbao and Donostia/San Sebastián (both are within 1h drive) and right next to the Flysch cliffs which are a must see in the area. We had a great stay and really want to return
