The staff were friendly and the breakfasts tasty; the room was tidy and the beds comfy, and parking was both convenient and secure. Built around 1840, the property had character and fit exactly what we wanted in a small New England setting, so it really rocks. There was nothing to hate about this place.

The location was good for the sights we wanted. No one greeted us at the front desk; my wife rang the buzzer and we still waited a while before checking in. The older building’s stairs should have an alternate route to the upper level, but no one mentioned it. We had to ask for ice.

The staff were very hospitable and friendly; our bed was comfortable and the soaking tub lovely. Food was good, making for a pleasant stay overall. The road can be noisy, and because the building is old they use window units for AC, which were also very loud overnight.
