The host was very courteous, friendly, and helpful, and the view was lovely. It’s only a few minutes’ walk from the ice cave.

The lodge sits quietly up in the mountains near a landmark and hiking area, but there’s no breakfast or dinner service. The bathroom facilities are poor; tap water tastes worse and is more dirty than in the cities. The nearest restaurant is 11 to 12.5 km down the mountain. For water, coffee, and breakfast you have to go to the nearest supermarket 11 km at the bottom of the mountain. The mountain is a first‑class col. Driving takes a long time, and cycling takes 3 hours. One restaurant 12.5 km away happily delivers dinner if the spend exceeds a certain amount.

“Minunat. Recomand”

We enjoyed the family room with three single beds and one double. The cabin is very close to the cave entrance and has all the facilities, with very friendly hosts. Mr Claudiu gave us useful hiking tips. The cabin also has a souvenir shop, natural products, boiled corn, etc. Meals can be arranged on request. We had breakfast and dinner (more substantial than a standard lunch) that were very tasty. The price‑quality ratio is good given the mountain‑top location. The peace and pristine air are priceless. The last 20 meters to the cabin couldn’t be driven to with a sedan. There is a paid parking option nearby.

“O vacanță reușită.”

Away from the bustle, the place is full of silence. The staff are very friendly and attentive to every detail. The food is good, especially at breakfast. The road to the cabin is somewhat difficult to reach.
