Kruger Island Resort

“HORROR MOVIE! THIS IS WHERE YOU GO TO NEVER BE SEEN AGAIN!”

The this hotel does not exist as it has been stolen by who knows who but it is not the original owners and they are trying to make the last bit of money out off a property that was stolen as the picture that are used is from when the resort was in operation. There is only 2 rooms in the whole "resort. Management laughs in your face when you tell them this is false advertising and when asked to show the pictures in the advert they take you to reception as that is the only facility in the whole resort that is not dilapidated. This property is for sale so the resort is closed down. Stay very far away from this resort as there is always eyes on you no matter where you go as they are hiding something and don't want you to see (nearest people plus minus 30 min drive and only 3 staff but they all watch you and everywhere you go). Don't take your family and don't go alone unless you like some fun with your life and are willing to die, this place is hunting for people that are vulnerable and alone as it is a desolate place which is very suspect and has management that seem to not know the facilities but laugh in your face when you are upset. When you complain apparently the owner has "7 properties" and he can't manage them all. Very rich but cant paint the walls. They also apparently have an R18k a day unit which we walked the whole resort to see nothing but dilapidated properties. We left the very next day with a 3 night booking and booked another place to our own cost. I have commented to bookings and sent them pictures but I only go an "I will try". I will go through all channels to make sure no one goes through what we have with this place. They say they are 4 star but they were last rated in 2017 so they are illegally advertising that they are 4 star where they are closed down. There is one pool working out of like 5 as the rest look like dams. Bookings needs to vet their customers. We should be compensated for allowing a resort that is closed down to advertise on their site. The reviews shows that we are not the only people that this has happened to but bookings has done nothing about it. Should we not be compensated I will be taking this further as we have all the evidence and pictures to prove that bookings.com is at fault

The location was fine, but the place seemed disreputable, the facilities were non‑existent, the food was horrible, and the venue held events that weren’t communicated to existing tenants; the only positive thing was the location.

The location was a major draw for me, as it brought back fond memories of my cousin's wedding in 2011. Unfortunately, the actual accommodation fell far short of my expectations. I had booked a family unit, but was given a small single unit with a lounge instead. The booking details claimed there would be wi-fi, an infinity pool, two bedrooms with double beds, and a wardrobe, but none of these were present. The photos online didn't match the reality, which was really disappointing.

The hotel's location was one of its strongest points, right in the heart of the city and with a beautiful outdoor area that was perfect for relaxing. However, the service was pretty hit-or-miss, with some staff members being friendly and helpful, but others seeming completely disinterested. The facilities were also a letdown, with a small and cramped gym and a pool that was more like a glorified kiddie pool.
