A single old house in a rice field where storks fly, with thick beams, high ceilings, a dirt floor, and a sense of history; it was said to be the last area where storks lived, close to the Stork Terrace. I was very satisfied with the meals made from local ingredients and the staff handled a sudden change in the number of guests. The resident cats and a Chihuahua welcomed us, and the two large baths and the shared cooking space were very convenient. The owner, who is also a singer, had a wealth of local knowledge and gave us many tips. At night, they showed us a point where the Milky Way is clearly visible under a sky full of stars, turning the evening into a time for exchanging life journeys. The renovated old house has shared toilets and baths; from the third-floor room to the toilet is a long walk, and there is a handrail on only one side of the stairs, which could be dangerous if you’re not used to it.

This old farmhouse is amazing. I could hear the owner talk about its historical background, the architecture, the furniture in use, and the household items. The homey, comfortable atmosphere and the tasty meals left a strong impression. At night, they showed me many constellations and the Milky Way. The cat and dog were very friendly. I want to stay here again. There were no negatives, but they’re still renovating, so I’m excited to see what comes next.

The hospitality was overflowing, making this a wonderful place. Time seemed to flow slowly, and for someone who had forgotten why they live because of a hectic life, my heart finally rested. A hotel is just a place to stay, but the Typing House felt like a place I didn’t want to leave. If I ever come to Sado again, I’ll stay here again.

古民家の雰囲気がとてもよくノスタルジックな気持ちになれる。オーナーさんも気さくで丁寧で柔らかな方でした。ウェルカムドリンクも朝食も、とっても美味しい。迎えてくれたワンちゃん1匹ネコちゃん3匹は、とても人懐っこく、観光であちこち行って疲れた私を癒してくれました。ネコ好きにはたまらん宿です。また行きたい。. 4匹たちのご飯がお皿からこぼれて、エントランスの床に、ほんのわずかですがコロコロしてます。気になってしまう方はダメかも。
