The location was amazing, yet the stairs are not walkable with luggage, the bathroom was in poor condition, the toilet wasn’t working, there were cracks and racks above the door, and there was no Wi‑Fi on the upper floor.

The location was close to the marker, but the hotel was not the one I had booked; I was redirected to a different spot and the cleaning was bad.

The staff tried to accommodate us and responded to our requests; walking to shops and the metro was quick, and local eateries nearby were cheap and good. A quick 5‑minute walk also led to a restaurant offering fresh kebab if the buffet didn’t satisfy you. What bothered me most was that the accommodation was in a different building than shown on Booking, so the promised garden view was replaced by a view of a building about 1.5 m opposite the window, with a trash‑filled gutter; the advertised terrace was obviously missing. The room had a stove, two glasses, a iron, and an untested AC—fortunately we didn’t need it. The wardrobe was unusable because the hook rod was broken, the table and chairs and mirror were fine, and the bed had one large mattress; when it cooled we were given a blanket, but it was very noisy. You could hear everything through the walls, including neighbors flushing or opening doors. Nearby factories produced long‑lasting noise and bustle into the evening. The location was good, but we didn’t get the room we had booked; the one we received was much lower quality.

The price‑to‑quality ratio was good, especially in Istanbul. The staff were friendly and helpful, even keeping our luggage after check‑out. The bed was comfortable, and the small balcony/terrace was great for coffee. The AC worked well. The hotel was close to the historic centre, though you shouldn’t be afraid to walk. The room was on the top floor (5th) with no elevator, so the legs got hot. The surprise on arrival was that we stood in front of an empty, turned‑off building; they have two hotels and we had to contact them via WhatsApp to be picked up, so double‑check the address!
